Here at New Life we want to teach & equip people to see their whole lives as being worship to God.

We are also committed to corporate times where the whole church will gather to express their love for Jesus

                  Sunday morning Celebrations

You are very welcome to join us on Sunday mornings where you will see that we expect contributions and leadership from amongst the church congregation. We enjoy teaching our children to worship God with us and not to exclude them from these times. School age children will go out to their own New life kids sessions after 20 minutes or so. You can follow the links to read more about NLK, crèche and toddlers. Our teenagers will stay with the adults until the sermon begins most weeks.

Communion and meals
Every month we will break bread and share wine together as Jesus instructed us. This is a rich expression of our love for Christ and for one another. We also encourage people to share bread and wine in their homes and enjoy a bring and share communion meal as together every couple of months.

Baptisms
Each term we enjoy Baptism Celebrations where those who have started to follow Jesus tell their own story and then are baptised. These are great occasions to communicate the gospel through real life stories and we particularly welcome guests on these mornings. Our next baptisms will be on Easter Sunday, 12th April.

Offerings
Our attitude to money and possessions is a good indicator of our heart for God. God has been so generous with us and we encourage generosity in giving across the church family, making room for this as a part of our worship each Sunday. Many church members also give by monthly standing orders and tax payers complete gift aid forms. This is also a part of our worship of God! Please contact the Church office for a bank standing order form and gift aid form.
Worship and the Creative Arts Team

We want to broaden our expression of worship beyond simply singing songs and playing great music. Our heart is to release those with wider artistic gifting who would not always fit into a conventional worship team. In doing so, we hope to reflect something of the magnificent creativity of God Himself!

Band, Singers and Choir
We are working towards individual and team excellence, as well as releasing confident worship leaders that will have the character and gifting to take the whole church closer to Jesus. Our teams help the church to worship every Sunday, in prayer meetings and all kinds of smaller settings. They are also involved in outreach events. Their flexibility means that during the last year they have been involved in projects as diverse as Christmas cover versions to Handels Messiah, to Matt Redman! The team also use many of their own songs which express fresh themes in the local church.

Creative Arts Team (CAT)
We are starting to work with artists in paint, textiles and sculpture in and around our new building, as well as within the narrower context of Sunday morning celebrations.

Tech Team
These guys and girls are the unsung heroes, the wind beneath our wings! They serve the church and minister to God through their excellence with the PA system and set up. Increasingly, song projection and multi media skills are also being used. They are always the first to arrive and the last to leave, they never get coffee on a Sunday after the celebration. We salute them! For more information, contact Stuart through the Church office.

Signing and Languages
We want our worship to be accessible to people from all backgrounds. We are beginning to offer some deaf signing in our Sunday celebrations. If you have skills in this area please let us know. We are also keen to use words and language which are helpful to the many nationalities that gather in our celebrations. Our languages survey later this year will help us to identify how we can grow in this area.

Kidstream
We are determined to develop our younger musicians and singers. To this end, we have invited them to rehearse with us once a month on Mondays (dates are below). Our Kidstream Choir will nurture the singers, and budding musicians will get an opportunity to be mentored by our more experienced members and play with the band! These evenings will be at JCC from 7.30 to 9pm. They are for Children from school year 5 upwards.

                         Magic Mondays

All of these teams meet to rehearse, pray and encourage one another on Monday evenings during term time at the Jubilee Community Centre.
Our Creative Arts Team and Kidstream (younger musicians and singers) are invited to Monday Rehearsals on the following dates - 2nd Feb, 2nd March, 6th April
Band, Singers & Techs rehearse - 16th Jan, 2nd Feb, 16th Feb, 2nd March, 16th March, 6th April, 20th April.
Worship Together Nights - 26th Jan, 23rd Feb, 23rd March, 27th April.
Worship Leaders will gather with the other serving teams on 9th Feb, 9th March.

We believe that the whole church family, united and worshipping God together is a demonstration of the transforming power of the gospel, and creates an environment where God loves to meet with us. When we gather in this way we are expecting to experience the presence of God together and we value the use of Spiritual gifts.
